(According to Frankie and Daniel, "Nowhereville" is kinda a messed up nickname for our town. And I guess I can

see now why it's problematic. This was the very first comic I made after moving here, and I've learned a lot since

then. But we talked about it and decided to post it without changes. Because that way you get to see how I

changed or whatever. --MAEVE)

(PS: Flying cockroaches really are the work of the devil, tho. --MM)

We talked at our last SAS meeting about cat-calling, or where boys shout things at girls as they pass by, in the hallways at school, or on the street. Sometimes they scream at us from their cars.

Our conclusion? We hate it. It sucks. It's not a compliment. It's not okay. It's scary and upsetting, and serves as a constant reminder that guys have the power to invade our world, our space, our peace and make us feel small.

Maeve drew this comic after several of us talked about the double-standards in how school dress code is implemented at Goodman. SAS thinks it's sexist. What do you think? Share your thoughts in the comments. --CD
